"Cell Tower Discovery" is an applicationthatprovides meaningful information about GSM, LTE, WCDMA, andCDMAcellular towers. While the cellphone information can be seenfromthe settings in an Android device, this app summarizes anddisplaysit for you in a user-friendly way.One of the advantages of this app is that the collected data canbekept in a cellphone database, but could also be exported/sharedasComma-Separated-Values (CSV) files for further analysis fromExcelor Matlab. Available exporting options are Email and GoogleDrive.App Main Functionalities->Shows the cellphone's stats on a single page. The WiFiBeta Android Applicationallowscommunication via a WiFi Direct network when other methodsofcommunication are not possible, such as in a disaster scenario.Byutilizing multi hop capabilities, the network couldtransmitemergency broadcasts to devices that are not in range ofeach othervia hops through other devices. Text, SMS, and voicecommunicationare implemented in a “chatbox” type interface. SMSmessages aresent to devices with an active cellular data connectionfortransmission.The App features Multi hop, which involves transmitting amessagethrough a series of devices in order to reach a targetdevice thatis out of range of the initial device. Text and voicemessages areproliferated to all devices to increase the likelihoodof themessage being delivered to somebody who could help in thecase of adisaster scenario. SMS messages are sent only to deviceswithcellular network capabilities.Currently, no more than two devices can be connected directlytoeach other. Every device can connect to the Group Owner, butPeerscannot connect to each other. The maximum range a device canreachis just the range from the device to the group owner, and thentherange of the group owner.
